Metamorphosis is the fight for survival and the grasp at life that follows. Interpreting the transformation of caterpillar to moth and drawing heavy influence from Butoh Dance Theatre, Metamorphosis sees the Butoh Body born alone onto the cold white earth, exploring its environment through trial and error, failure and success.

Metamorphosis is explored in the intimate space at La Mama as a richly visual and interactive performance installation with the actions and response of the audience affecting the developing Butoh Body and by extension the environment it inhabits.

An undeniable exchange between artist and audience in which the role of creator and subject are reversed, blurred and deconstructed to a level of primal urge and response. Go on, create/destroy something.
